error eventid 3083 microsoft sharepointps search servic

My system is logging this error ID once every min. That's not real good for the system response. Any idea what's going on?
I did a search through the registry and found some details which may be related: Windows Search Service Office Outlook Protocol Handler Windows Search Service PST Protocol Handler The folder: E:\ProgramData\Microsoft\USearch\Data\Applications\Windows\GatherLogs The entry {9E175BAF-F52A-11D8-B9A5-505054503030} The key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\USearch\Gather\Windows\SystemIndex

It's definitely related to the file indexing process. When I turn off file indexing, ther error message stops.
Any suggestions on debugging techniques?
I've already done the following: 1) Deselect all included index folders: error stops 2) Turn on just one folder: errors restart 3) Regenerate index 4) Check/repair drive errors, defrag drives, regenerate index 5) System in-place update

I'm getting this error about once a minute. Any idea what's causing it and how to fix? I did some poking around in the registry and I think the problem has something to do with:
